HRLax families,

As you are well-aware, we are living through some crazy days right now as the world figures out how to assess, react to and plan for the effects of this COVID-19 bug.

The good news is that if things move in the right direction over the next 7-8 weeks (be smart, do your part!), we may have an opportunity to play out our season in a modified format and HRLax fully-intends to be prepared to do just thatThe plan right now is to hold a four-day tournament on May 23rd, 24th, 30th & 31st at the Princess Anne Athletic Complex and VB Sportsplex Stadium fields.  By scheduling games in a fast-moving "travel ball" format, we can still play each of our boys and girls Varsity and JV contests, run our 8-team Varsity playoffs brackets and even recognize our graduating seniors in the stadium.  Details will be forthcoming via your coaches and program managers so stay tuned!

This effort depends upon factors over which we have little control (again, be smart, do your part!), so we just have to be patient while the guidance from the CDC, from the Commonwealth and from local school and health officials evolves.  We are also closely watching the VHSL, who met this week to discuss options for completing a modified spring season and concluded that "wait and see" until May is their best plan.  Look here for the latest updates from the VHSL.

In the event that circumstances prevent us from reasonably moving forward with getting teams on the fields, HRLax intends to refund a portion of your registration fee, the exact amount to be determined once all league expenses are paid.  For those of you who chose the registration insurance option when you paid your registration fee, you will have the opportunity to recover your monies in accordance with the terms of that agreement.

In the meantime, please stay safe, keep active, hit the wall, and hope for the best!

The HRLax league believes in fostering a lacrosse community that encourages understanding, appreciation, and acceptance of all by the league's players and parents, volunteer coaches, and league leadership.  HRLax is committed to the belief that this broad representation, and participation, adds significantly to the lacrosse experience of all involved, and these experiences are further enhanced by the league's embracing of underrepresented and underserved communities.
